Asara Villa

Preserving Nature in a Green Oasis

Asara Villa is a unique architectural design by Jafar Lotfolahi that prioritizes the preservation of the natural environment while providing a tranquil space for residents to connect with nature.

With 90 percent of Iran's total area being dry and semi-dry, the demand for living in green areas has intensified in recent years. However, the construction in these areas has contributed to environmental degradation. Asara Villa aims to address this issue by preserving the environment as much as possible before construction, making it a standout project in the region.

The main challenge faced by the design team was the high density of green space required. To prevent the destruction of this valuable green space, the villa is strategically set on a hillside. This positioning not only preserves the natural surroundings but also allows residents to fully immerse themselves in nature and enjoy panoramic vistas.

The site chosen for Asara Villa is located in a peaceful and quiet strait, near a river. It consists of two parts: the northward side, which lacks vegetation and has a steep slope of 45 to 60 degrees, and the southward side, which features flat land, two rows of poplar trees, and extensive landscaping. The beautiful scenery surrounding the site enhances the overall experience of the villa and maximizes the potential of the location.

For the stability of the building, a composition of concrete structure with sheer walls and steel pickets was used. The facade is filled with plaster and painted white, providing a clear background that complements the natural environment. Thermo wood was employed on the southern and western facades to control natural lighting and climatic effects.

The design specifications of Asara Villa are as follows: Length - 17230 mm, Width - 16090 mm, Height - 6370 mm. These dimensions ensure a spacious and comfortable living space for residents.

The function of the villa is based on an extensive design in two axes. The Z pivot allows the building to be elevated and disconnected from the ground, creating a sense of elevation and connection with the surrounding nature. The Y pivot involves panoramic views, with the higher levels assigned to living spaces and the lower levels designated for sleeping and guest areas.

The project started in September 2011 in Karaj and was completed in April 2013. Throughout the design process, the main focus was on preserving the natural environment and creating a harmonious living space that seamlessly integrates with nature.

Asara Villa was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2015 in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category. This prestigious award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The design of Asara Villa showcases industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
